Getting to know GNU/Linux distributions

This project is meant to be done during class, and it should take no longer than 40 minutes, including the presentations. Each team will choose 2 of the most prominent Linux distributions and will have 5 minutes to present them to the class. Each team should present a different distribution.

2. Prepare your presentation

• Research and include the following information about your chosen distribution:
  • What distro it is based on.
  • Key features.
  • Intended use.
  • Packages.
  • Supported platforms.
  • Strengths (in terms of cybersecurity).
  • Weaknesses (in terms of cybersecurity).
• Optional: Use SlideCarnival to simplify design work.

3. Prepare to present your findings

• Practice presenting your work to be ready to share in class.
• Prepare to discuss and compare your chosen distribution with others.
