Github is one of the first platforms that recruiters visit when reviewing your developer profile, a strong github will make you stand out and may end up being paramaunt during your job search.

Build a customized github that stands out and showcases how you are, your projects and skills. Overall having a fun and friendly profile for recruiters and other developers to visit.

  • Read the Github page

  • Profile picture Add a neat professional headshot or a cool avatar

Profile

  • Write a short bio: 1-2 sentences about yourself as a developer
  • Add your email link

Create a stunning ReadMe

If you prefer written instructions, follow the next steps:

  • Go to https://github.com/new just like when you want to create a new repository.
  • Name the repository with your username - for example, Riciglianomarcelo/Riciglianomarcelo
  • As soon as you type it in, you will be greeted with a message telling you about this _secret_special/ repository
  • Set the repository as private while you’re working on your fancy README
  • Write a few bullet points about yourself as a developer (projects you’re working on right now, interests, technologies you’re learning)
  • Mention your interests and the type of projects you would like to collaborate in
  • Add your LinkedIn link
